WHO ARE WE?

The Mustang Fund is a not-for-profit fundraising organization dedicated to Montgomery Elementary School’s pursuit of excellence in education. Our mission is to support curriculum enhancements and capital improvements for the school by securing individual contributions, corporate donations and proceeds from community fundraising events.

WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR!

We are continuing to raise funds to support MES Ignite!

MES Ignite! is an initiative that provides technology, arts and STEM-related education, including project based learning instruction for all Montgomery Elementary School students.

Three MES Ignite! areas:

  • Innovation Lab 2.0: We are in the process of developing over 1800 sq. ft. of unused space in the school’s basement into a state-0f-the-art technology and maker space. This area will be transformed into a flexible, aesthetically pleasing learning space modeled after the Georgia Department of Education’s Center for Classroom Innovation. It will feature technology equipment and learning tools that allow us to enhance students’ 21st century skills and provide blended learning opportunities. Moreover, it will support learning opportunities geared towards having students investigate and respond to authentic and complex questions, problems and challenges.
  • Imagine Mustang Art: Enhancements are being made to our art program that foster opportunities to blend our Art, STEM, and Technology curriculums.
  • Maximize STEM: Updates to the MES STEM Room/Science Lab are being made to ensure it continues to provide state-of-the-art science, technology, engineering and math learning opportunities for our students.
